Apres-Ski Quilt Pattern – PDF Download
Description
Après-ski is a French term that translates literally to “after ski.” The phrase was made popular in the Alps during the 1950s and is defined as “the social activities and entertainment following a day’s skiing.” Today, après-ski can include a variety of activities, but here in Colorado it typically involves local craft beers around a ski lodge fire pit… and now, this cozy quilt!
The “Après-Ski” quilt pattern is a modern spin on a classic ski chalet emblem, the Swiss Cross. This quick and easy design is made with beginners in mind. It is constructed using simple rows and doesn’t require any matching points so it’s forgiving enough for any first-time quilter.
