12 Quilt Color Palettes Inspired by the Zodiac Signs
“What’s your sign?” Cheesy pick-up line or the foolproof way to your next fabric pull? In this post, I put together twelve modern Zodiac color palettes using Kona Cotton Solids. Each palette features five solids and is inspired by a sign of the Zodiac. I also created a mock-up of each color combo using the Carbide quilt pattern. This color collection was a fun one to build. Aries Color Palette
A Cardinal, Fire Sign | March 21 – April 19
This palette perfectly reflects the fiery and passionate rams of the zodiac. Full of warm colors from sunflower yellow to lipstick red, this combo is fire.

Taurus Color Palette
A Fixed, Earth Sign | April 20 – May 20
This mellow color palette is earthy and soothing, just like our calm Taureans of the zodiac. An earthy combination of mustard yellow, brick red, and herbaceous greens.

Gemini Color Palette
A Mutable, Air Sign | May 21 – June 20
Playful and expressive perfectly describes this palette inspired by the social butterflies of the zodiac. This is a summery palette that a full of melon pink, peach, and cool purples.

Cancer Color Palette
A Cardinal, Water Sign | June 21 – July 22
Cancers are all about comfort and self-care and this color palette couldn’t get any more calm and maternal. A balanced combination of silvery blues and warm pinks, this is a surefire winner.

Leo Color Palette
A Fixed, Fire Sign | July 23 – August 22
Dramatic and confident are two words often used to describe Leos and this color palette is no different! A bold combination of jewel-toned greens, purples, and golds.

Virgo Color Palette
A Mutable, Earth Sign | August 23 – September 22
Virgos are known for being kind and gentle and this color palette is full of gorgeous neutrals that reflect that. An earthy combination of warm grays and dusty rose. This is one of my favorites.

Libra Color Palette
A Cardinal, Air Sign | September 23 – October 22
Charming and well-balanced describes both Libras and this gorgeous color palette. This combination is unexpected, but a great balance of warm corals, mustard yellow, and cool mint and lilac. Yum!

Scorpio Color Palette
A Fixed, Water Sign | October 23 – November 21
Scorpios are notoriously bold and mysterious and this color palette is full of Scorpio vibes. This combination is another one heavy on jewel tones and I’m here for it. Emerald green, ruby red, and sapphire blue come together to create a rich palette that is perfect for our mysterious scorpions of the zodiac.

Sagittarius Color Palette
A Mutable, Fire Sign | November 22 – December 21
Sagittariuses are optimistic, spontaneous, and fun. Check, check, and check. This color palette has it all. It is full of warm and playful colors like mauve, gold, and peach!

A Cardinal, Earth Sign | December 22 – January 19
This color palette embodies the serious and grounded nature of Capricorns. This is a balanced combination of cool teal blues and warm taupe and ivory.

Aquarius Color Palette
A Fixed, Air Sign | January 20 – February 18
This color palette is innovative and rebellious, just like our beloved Water Bearer of the zodiac. This color palette is crazy in the best kind of way. Grab your sunglasses, because this bright orange plays off the teal blue, and the cool purple-pink rounds it all off.

Pisces Color Palette
A Mutable, Water Sign | February 19 – March 20
I would describe this color palette as dreamy and romantic, just like the last constellation of the zodiac. This color palette is full of pastels and embodies Spring.
